Important Donation Information
March 5, 2022
On behalf of the Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation, the Larry H. Miller Company, our participating donors and other community partners, we are overwhelmed and grateful for the immediate outpouring of support and contributions of cash and goods being donated by Utahns as part of the Driven to Assist Utah For Ukraine effort.
As there have been various inquiries and questions regarding deployment of funds and delivery of supplies, we reiterate our working plans, recognizing the on-the-ground situation is evolving every day.
With an emphasis on safety, appropriate timing and prevailing needs, our guiding vision is to be as helpful and equitable as possible to all refugees fleeing Ukraine and relocating into border countries. In consultation with state and federal officials, as well as vetted and trusted on-the-ground organizations, we will collectively determine when and how to effectively deliver supplies as well as efficiently deploy much-needed cash in order to help provide food, shelter, and transportation. These on-the-ground organizations include Catholic Relief Services, International Rescue Committee and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, among others.
In clear view of the most immediate and urgent needs, we again encourage our fellow citizens of Utah to first consider a cash contribution to the Community Foundation of Utah via lhm.com.
Our stewardship responsibility and commitment are to safely, strategically, and appropriately deploy the invaluable funds and supplies being contributed by the generous citizens of Utah, and to help those most in need.
